Jesse Ruga Wang’ombe

Jesse Ruga is a charming and determined 4th-year student currently pursuing a degree in Commerce, specializing in both Finance and Accounting. He has proven exemplary academic performance by attaining Dean’s List honours in his second and third years of study. He is also pursuing professional accountancy certification and currently completing his ACCA examinations. Furthermore, he is extremely proficient in Statistical Function Formulation and is a certified MATLAB programmer. Additionally, he is adequately skilled in supply-chain systems and logistics. He took part in the Kuehne Foundation Pharma Supply Chain Hackathon Competition where he emerged in 2nd position.

Additionally, he is the Co-founder and CEO of KEBI, which is Africa’s first multi-sport apparel company.

In his spare time, he loves watching Batman, playing and watching basketball and engaging in intellectually stimulating conversations.

He lives every day guided by the mantra “Little Things “.

I’m an ACCA. I have successfully completed 6 exams. I have worked in a local Audit firm for three weeks. I’ve been the transactions manager for the club for a few of the flea markets. Besides accounting, I also have a passion for IT. I work in the IT department in the university library.

Jeremy Matayo

Jeremy Matayo is an IT student who has explored various fields in the world of business. He has done various projects on agriculture from small scale farming to market sales and a visionary in the world of IT on AI and IoT with certification from Strathmore iLab. He has experience in the field of accounting and is using his skills as an Estate treasurer. He is a very down to earth person and very easily approachable.

He has received experience working in the IT and HR sector by working for various institutions such as Rio Technologies.

Jeremy is currently finishing his third year in BBIT having completed his Diploma in the same field of study.

Emmanuel is a Stratizen pursuing a Bsc. in Telecommunications serving as the Member Communications Executive for the Strathmore Business Club. He is also a member of the Strathmore Writers Hub and was part of the team that wrote for the Echo Magazine besides doing other part time writings both at school and outside. Moreover, he is one of the incoming Content Managers for The Stratizen Podcast that seeks to provide a platform where issues affecting the youth are discussed and propagated to the designated audience(s).

Samuel Mariwa is a 3rd year student doing his Bachelor of Business Information Technology. He is a co-founder of Sympha Enterprise , a B2B Hygiene Products manufacturer. Over and above this he is the current lead developer at Kwanza Tukule Foods Limited. He is good in business intelligence, a field he has developed interest in over the past few months.

Elsie Lovell Kiprop

Elsie is a third year student doing Bachelor of business science in Actuarial science. She is a member of the Institute and Faculty of actuaries and she would love to do her professional papers. Being an offline data analytics executive is the beginning of her interest in data science and analytics. She is proficient in using various statistical software i.e. R, Stata and Excel. She would also love to learn Python. Being an attaché at Retirement Benefits Authority, she is able to learn and gain experience since the company deals with a huge amount of data. She looks forward to having a good time at SBC and to make new friends as well.

Chelagat is a 3rd Year Bachelor of Commerce Student majoring in Finance and Management Science. She is a sheep farmer and also sells fruits and vegetables. She has been a volunteer in several schools and A Rocha Kenya which helped her in learning data analytics. In the near future, she hopes to expand her existing businesses while also pursuing a career investment banking.

In-addition to this, she has a certificate in Digital marketing which she plans to utilize upon completion of her undergraduate studies. She is passionate about small and medium enterprises.
